Bento of the Week: Nick Jr.
Thank you to everyone who participated and/or voted in the Pumpkin BOTW. Congratulations to Corey at Family Fresh Meals for getting the most votes for her Pumpkin Harvest Bento. This bento will be displayed for the next week in the featured blog widget on the sidebar and the winners gets a special blog button announcing their win!
Remember this themed bento meme will be posted each Friday and will accept entries through the following Tuesday. Voting will take place on Wednesday & Thursday. We've had some fairly easy themes, but this week requires more creativity. November will be technique challenges. Upcoming themes are listed on the sidebar.
Week 4 Theme: Nick Jr
Week four's theme for Bento of the Week is Nick Jr. Please post the direct link to any bento you've created that depicts a Nick Jr show, either past or present. You can see a list of all Nick Jr shows here. You can post more than one, but it needs to be your bento. You may post a bento that has been submitted on a previous week, but it must fit the theme. Please visit all the participants and leave some love! Please grab one of the Bento of the Week graphics (at the bottom of this site) to post on your blog. This doesn't look like a fair contest. The person with so many votes had so many more votes last week too. I was going to post a photo but I could never win.
Every time I see the Yo Gabba Gabba on I get the song in my head, LOL, "there's a party in my tummy... so yummy so yummy!" :)

Anonymous~ Thanks for your comment. The voting is lopsided, but the person who posted the one with so many votes invited her blog readers to come vote for her submission. Yes, it's not fair if the same person has the featured blog of the week repeatedly and I can understand you not wanting to post. But I would still love to have you participate. Remember the prize for winning is the bento posted on the sidebar for a week and a blinkie (blog button) announcing your win.
If this becomes a problem there are a few things that I can do~
1. Limit the amount of times a person can be featured.
2. Hide the amount of votes and if the same person seems to get high amount of votes then pick the next bento as the winner. (The final tally is hidden as it is, but the final count is arranged by order of votes...I could change that also.)
3. Eliminate voting all together and have the InLinkz widget pick a random winner.
Remember this site is to connect bento bloggers and share ideas. You can be featured by submitting a tip or tutorial to be posted. I'm open to any suggestions you or others might have.

My fears came true and someone is upset. I will not announce the Bento of The Week on my blog next week. I was really only trying to bring more traffic into this website and in turn bring more traffic to your individual blogs. I never asked anyone to vote for me, and know for a fact that a handful of my blog followers did not vote for me (cousin's kid is a Rintoo lover!!! hehe) I also posted this bento on a couple other sites, and in the blog post, I have a link to this site. I worked REALLY hard on this bento and was super proud of it and wanted to "show it off". So maybe those are things all of us could do to bring more traffic and votes in. Dianna, I love the idea of only letting a person be featured for like 2 weeks in a row. I think that keeps things fair, and still puts a fire under our butts to get votes by posting on other food sites or social media sites. I really think it is important for more people to see all of our wonderful bentos & blogs. You ladies are so super talented! I apologize again to anyone who was upset. And like I said, I will not post on my blog next week.

Corey~ Please don't feel upset! Seriously...your bento is AWESOME! All that detailing took a while. I think that you are doing a great job of getting people to visit the blog...and maybe converting more people to bento-ing. I will set a limit of 2 weeks in a row.
EVERYONE~ Please participate! This isn't a popularity contest and there is no tangible prize...so let's enjoy each other's bentos and have FUN!!!!

From the other side: I hadn't heard of this site until I was on Corey's site and saw the link last week. This week, yes (if I voted right, not sure since it keeps saying I have a vote still?)I did vote for Yo Gabba Gabba. Mostly because munchkin watches that show every day, and loved the copycat I did based on that one.
But I wouldn't have voted for hers last week :)
PS: Anonymous: If you don't post a photo, of course you'll never win! Stop showing us the defeatist attitude, and lets see those awesome bentos! I need ideas if I'm going to keep this up!
